A new year is just around the corner. And with that, we are all set to step into 2017. With everything else new, 2017 is also bringing a great entertainment package in the form of movies. In fact, 2017 is going to be a movie-filled year with reboots, superheroes and sequels.

We have shared a list of 17 movies in 2017 that you must watch.

  1. Spiderman Homecoming

Release date: 7th July

Spiderman Homecoming will be bringing us back to Peter Parker’s high school days. Produced by Marvel Studios, and Columbia Pictures and directed by Jon Watts, it is intended to be the second reboot of the Spider-Man file franchise.

  1. Baywatch

Release date: 19th May

From small screen to silver screen, Baywatch starring Dwayne Johnson, Priyanka Chopra and Zac Efron is all set to sizzle.

  1. Wonder woman

Release date: 2nd June

Wonder Woman, starrer Gal Gadot aka Diana Prince, is a movie you wouldn’t want to trade the world for. The story revolves around the World War I and makes Diana, the world’s greatest superhero. Gal Gadot, known for her popular role as Gisele Yashar in the Fast and the Furious movie, will certainly do justice to the character.

  1. Fast & Furious 8

Release date: 12th April

Speaking of The fast and The furious, the 8th volume of The Fast and The Furious is here. Rocking cast, rocking trailer and I’m sure yet another rocking story, I can’t wait to watch it, can you?

  1. Despicable Me 3

Release date: 30th June

Ohhh! The most adorable characters are back with a bang. The third movie in the series, Despicable Me 3 will make the kid inside you giggle and feel happy again.

  1. Fifty Shades Darker – Slip into Something a Shade Darker

Release date: 9th February

Get ready to make your Valentine’s extra special with Christian and Anastasia. If you haven’t had enough of Fifty Shades of Grey, ‘Slip into something a Shade Darker’.

Starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, Beauty and the Beast seems to be a promising movie to watch in 2017. Bill Condon, the director of the movie, is certainly reviving our childhood page with the launch of Beauty and the Beast.

XXX: Return of Xander Cage focuses on the daredevil, extreme athlete turned government operative Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) who will race against time to recover a Pandora’s Box, a sinister weapon that has the power to control every military satellite in the world.

  1. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man Tell No Tales

Release date: 26th May

Captain Sparrow needs no introduction nor does Pirates of the Caribbean. This time he is on the hunt for the Trident of the Poseidon to acquire absolute power over the seas. You don’t need to wait to see him in action, get ready to book your tickets before 26 May.

  1. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

Release date: 27th January

Claiming to be the final chapter of the Resident Evil ultimate series, Resident Evil is hitting the big screen on 27 January, 2017. Though the final chapter made me a little depressed, I am still super excited to watch it.

Release date: 3rd March

There’s no denying the fact that Hugh Jackman makes a great superhero. With the same furious face, Wolverine X-Men Mutant is back along with Professor X.

Release date: 10th March

Kong: Skull Island is a reboot of King Kong and if you have liked that movie, there’s no way you would want to miss this one.

  1. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Release date: 5th May

Admit it; we can never get enough of Guardians of the Galaxy even if we watch it a thousand times. If you are like me you’d probably be missing Rocket Raccoon already. But, now you don’t have to wait any longer. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is coming right up in the May, 2017.

  1. War for the Planet of the Apes

Release date: 14th July

War for the Planet of the Apes is a sequel to the 2014 movie Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Fan of the Planet of the Apes movie? Get ready to witness an epic battle between Caesar and a ruthless Colonel.

Release date: 16th November

Cyborg, Aquaman, the Flash, Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman all unite to fight the evil Steppenwolf to save the world.

  1. Transformers: The Last Knight

Release date: 23rd June

Having rumors going around about Michael Bay’s being done with Optimus Prime, the comeback of Transformers: The Last Knight starring Michael Bay has proven every rumor wrong. The movie seems to take you into a time-travelling era which includes an alternate history of Nazis winning World War II, King Arthur along with plenty of action.

 17. The Mummy

Release date: 9th June

Watch Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella in an all new avatar in The Mummy. Sofia Boutella, who is playing the role of an ancient queen, was entombed in a crypt deep beneath the desert is awakened in this current era. The Mummy is an upgrade of the previously released Mummy movie series and sure looks promising.
